Malaysian company to build $150 million solar power plant in Fergana region

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year

The Malaysian company Sunview Group will build a $150 million solar power plant with a capacity of 200 megawatts in the Fergana region. This was reported by the press service of the regional khokimiyat.

During the current negotiations between the investing company and the Ministry of Energy, the terms of the project implementation and electricity tariffs for the solar power plant were agreed upon.

A land plot in the Fergana region was selected for the project, which was provided to the investor for a technical and economic analysis. Construction of the power plant is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Recall that the Chinese company Shandong Aipurui Steel Plate Co., Ltd will build a metalworking plant for more than $120 million in the Tarakkiyet industrial zone in the Fergana region.
