The khokims were instructed to create exemplary areas for saving electricity and gas
On June 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference on measures to improve the efficiency of using energy resources and ensure the sustainable operation of energy facilities in the sector in the autumn-winter period.Last year, district programs were adopted to save electricity and gas. Thanks to solar collectors installed in homes and social facilities, 20 million kWh of electricity has been saved, the head of state said. Industrial enterprises are also introducing green energy technologies.
However, as it was noted, in some regions, work is slow and energy saving indicators are not fully met.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Deputy Prime Minister Achilbai Ramatov and First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Sherzod Hidoyatov to introduce strict energy efficiency requirements for the design of new social facilities for the next year within two months.
According to him, the same amount of electricity is spent on cooling administrative and commercial premises in the hot months as in winter. The Head of State set the task for Hidoyatov to develop technical conditions for energy efficiency for administrative buildings, apartment buildings, enterprises, commercial and service buildings within a month.
Ramatov, together with the khokims, must take measures by October 1 to prepare 1,000 social facilities for the autumn-winter season. In particular, it is planned to repair 251 hospitals, 292 kindergartens, 393 schools and boarding schools.
The President noted that the plans of the heads of industries and khokims to save electricity and gas are insufficient, they should set higher goals.
Each khokim is instructed to select one district and make it exemplary in terms of saving electricity and gas. It was emphasized that in these areas it is important to save 750 kWh of electricity and 550 million cubic meters of gas this year. "Savings should be achieved by reducing losses and introducing energy—saving technologies," he stressed.
At the meeting, it was decided to introduce a new energy efficiency assessment system in industries and spheres based on best practices.
Thus, large consumers who consume at least 4 million kWh of electricity or 375 thousand cubic meters of gas per year will undergo an energy audit every three years.
The Energy Inspectorate will annually publish a list of large consumers, and those enterprises that have not passed the audit, gas and electricity will be supplied at increased tariffs.
The President instructed to make this system an exemplary one among oil and gas enterprises and companies producing electricity.
The responsible persons were instructed to develop technical regulations and regulatory documents related to the new system by the end of the year.
Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov was instructed to create a center for training specialists in energy conservation.
