The Chinese will build powerful wind farms in Samarkand and Jizzakh

The investor will allocate $250 million for the implementation of each project.

A Chinese company Universal Energy will build two wind farms in the Samarkand and Jizzakh regions, following the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Subsidiaries are listed as contractors of the projects Universal Energy — Peak Wind Alpha and Peak Wind Beta. They provided guarantees from a foreign bank for $18 million.

In particular, it is planned to build a WPP with a capacity of 250 MW (total — 500 MW), and power transmission lines are also provided. The investor will allocate $250 million for the implementation of each project.

The National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan will purchase electricity from the stations for 25 years.
